Our annual SFVJLI Mochitsuki is scheduled for February 22nd, 2025. Prep will start at 8am that morning and when it’s ready, each class will take turns pounding fresh mochi in the traditional usu (mortar) before forming the dough into easy to eat shapes. Parents, friends, and community volunteers are welcome to join in and pound mochi before tasting their own creations alongside other yummy Mochi flavors and condiments. Mochi pounding is not always easy to find around our community, so if you have never experienced it before, you definitely don’t want to miss out!
