The annual Speech Contest and the 2008 Graduation Ceremony are scheduled for Saturday, June 21, at the JACC Hall.

WELCOME

The San Fernando Valley Japanese Language Institute was started in 1924 under the auspices of 13 original members of the Shikishima club, to promote the Japanese language, culture and place for social gathering.

Celebrating 75 years of service to the community, we are the largest Japanese school in the San Fernando Valley, with an average enrollment of 100 students.

 

PROGRAMS

Cultural Enrichment

Designed to introduce our children to the world of Art, Music, Dance, Theater, as well as Japanese Ceremonies and Traditions.

Educational Support

Assures both teacher and students receive the necessary training and materials required to maintain optimum education levels and skills.

Community Service

Encourages students to become model citizens and instills in them a sense of civic responsibility and community involvement.
