This is the second year in the Nyumon class for my son, Kenny. He performed the song “Omocha No Cha Cha Cha” last year, and the “Do-Re-Mi Song” this year with his classmates at the Holiday Program. Noriko Sensei assigned each student to be in charge of the different music notes, and Kenny had the part of “Shi (Ti)” in “Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do.” Since Kenny uses English most of the time, he had a hard time pronouncing “Shiawase” in the “Shi wa Shiawaseyo” part of the song. And we’ve been practicing the song during his bath time every evening since two weeks before the program. I sang the part from “Do” to “La”, and Kenny did his part “Shi (Ti).” On the day of the event we thought everyone did a wonderful job doing his or her part, a huge success after many hours of practicing in the classroom. Kenny, you did a fantastic job! “Practice makes perfect!”
