Our first mandatory volunteer event will be held on March 12th.   We are asking parents to sign up to help for this event.  Since this is a mandatory event, at least one member from each family needs to volunteer.  This event is not only for mothers to help.  We desperately need fathers to help also.  If you cannot make it please ask grandparents, uncles, aunts or a sibling to represent your family. 

The volunteers are needed to help make the Manju during school hours.  Last year the parents did a great job and they were finished making the manju by noon.   Mark your calendars to help and have a chance to network with other parents.
In order to speed up the mixing of the dough, we are asking parents to bring hand held electric mixers.  If you have one and are willing to share, please let us know since it will speed up the creaming process.

Order forms for kurimanju will be available at the beginning of February.  They will be sent home with your student or available at the office.  Since we want to finish the process while the children are in school there will be a limited number of orders taken.  Please be sure to order early to guarantee that you will not miss out.
