CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATING STUDENTS

I am happy to announce that we have six graduating students this year. For the nine years you came to study Japanese and Japanese culture every Saturday. It really takes patience and effort on the part of both students and parents. I hope all of the graduating students have pleasant memories of our school.

We are pleased that you will continue with your Japanese studies, and that all of you will be taking the High School Credit Class.  As you start on this new chapter, I wish your next 2-3 years at the Japanese School will be as productive and memorable as past nine years and help you to be accepted to the colleges of your choice.

Our six Graduates are:

Daniel Hall
15 years old.  He attends Canyon High School.  Started the Japanese School at the age of 6.  His fondest memory of the Japanese School was the field trip to the L A Zoo.  His hobbies are skateboarding and computer games. He wants to be a pro skateboarder some day.

Andrew Ikejiri
l4 years old.  He attends Nobel Middle School.  Started the Japanese School at age of 5.  He enjoyed all of the Japanese School’s field trips.  He thinks learning Japanese will help him to get to know more Japanese people when he gets older. He doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up, but he likes various sports like basketball and football.

George Ikejiri

14 years old.  He attends Nobel Middle School.  Started Japanese School at age of 5. He, like his brother Andrew, enjoyed all of the Japanese School field trips.  He thinks learning Japanese will help him get a better job.  He likes to play basketball and wants to be an engineer when he grows up.

Natasha Ikejiri
14 years old.  She attends Nobel Middle School.  Started Japanese School at age of 5.  She says learning more things about the Japanese culture is fun.  She also likes the fact that she doesn’t have to take language classes in high school.  She loves to play sports and wants to be a teacher.

Aya Makino
14 years old.  She attends Taft High School.  Started Japanese School at age of 7.   Her fondest memory of the Japanese School was the first day at the school.  She had a lot of fun.  She likes to play guitar and wants to be an international business lawyer or an   architect.    Learning Japanese is going to help her pursue her career.

Tomotaka Milco
13 years old.  He attends Juniper Intermediate School.  Started Japanese School at age of 5.  He thinks what he learned in Japanese School will help him through high school.  He likes to play the guitar and wants to be a musician some day.
