On Sunday June 12th at 2:00 PM, SFVJACL / SFVCC scholarship program held an Award Ceremony at the Nikkei Village Dining Hall to present scholarships to the 2005 recipients. One of the six recipients was Ryan Sadakane, a former SFVJLI student.
 
 Toji Hashimoto represented the SFVCC, Sumi Yamaguchi is the scholarship chair person and Nancy Takayama represented the SFVJACL. Ryan Sadakane entertained the group by playing the piano at the ceremonies.
 
 The award is based on grade point average, community service, awards, clubs etc. Parents, siblings and grandparents were there to support each winner.
 
 Ryan is graduating from Cleveland High School and will be attending UC Berkley in the fall. Congratulations Ryan! Keep up the good work
