”Obon Festival” ~ Mandatory Duty ~
The 2008 SFVBHT Obon Festival will be taking place on July 5th and 6th at the SFVJLI school lot. It is the authentic Japanese style dance festival with many open-air booths offering various Japanese food and games. This is the one important event for all the SFVJLI families, because it requires ALL of your help. Please sign the volunteer sheet located in the office for your available time slot. Two hours is the minimum shift required for all SFVJLI families. If you cannot make it, high school siblings can earn some community service hours. Please keep in mind that there is a $50 penalty for those of you who cannot make this mandatory school event. SFVJLI will run a Somen booth, and we need many helping hands to prepare and sell food. Thank you; we’ll see you at the event!
