HIGH SCHOOL FOREIGN LANGUAGE CREDIT

(by Sachiko Liou, Principal)

Every year, many of our older students take a test to receive high school language credit from their home high schools. High school students from 9th through 12th grades may receive up to 10 credits each year towards their high school foreign language program by attending our Japanese school and passing the credit test given by the California Association of Japanese Schools. Minimum attendance of 120 hours per year is required. This year, we had fifteen students take this credit test and all of them passed with excellent grades.

They are listed below, and we congratulate them for their achievements:

Alexander Kenichi HallĀ
Andrew Ikejiri
George Ikejiri
Natasha Ikejiri
Randy Takeshi akajima
Daiki William Sato
Hitomi June Baba
Marco Hiroshi Garrido
Daniel Masamune Hall
Aya Makino
Kumi Amber Nagai
Clay Thibodaux
Adam Chludzinski,
Christina Ai Hall
Kentaro David Nagai

We would like to give special recognition to Adam Chludzinski, Christina Ai Hall, and Kentaro David Nagai, who passed the highest-level credit exam, Japanese level four. Adam and Christina want to participate in the JET Program, and we think they are perfect candidates and will excel in that program. Congratulations and good luck to you all in all your future pursuits in college and your careers!
