On Friday March 5th a group of parents and students came to the gakuen office and rolled the An filling of the kurimanju, into balls in preparation for the next day. The volunteers that helped that night were: Jill Clever, Fusako Hagiwara, Andrea, Melody and Sophie Hasuo, Ayumi Inoue (our former Nyumon teacher), Yoshiko Kawada, Akemi Miller, Kana Shimizu, Michelle and Yukie Shirtcliff.
On the morning of March 6th we had a great turnout of parents who showed up and measured, mixed, kneaded the dough, formed the confection, baked and packaged the manju. Due to the tremendous turnout of helpers. We had moms, dads, grandparents, uncle, siblings and former parents lend a helping hand. It was exciting to see the number of dads who participated in our school’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Hope you met many parents, made new friends and created a network. The room mothers led by Irene Nakano also did a great job of getting the word out. Thanks to all the room moms who made the extra effort in contacting all the parents.
This event would not have been such a success without all of you. The PTA board would like to thank each and every individual who came and helped out at this event. Domo Arigato Gozaimashita!
