On March 12th we held our annual Kurimanju Fund raising event. This is one of our mandatory volunteer events. Normally we make 1,600 pieces but this year we made 2,050 pieces. Thanks to Kana Shimizu who negotiated with Chikara Mochi and got a deal on the An filling. On Friday night Jill Clever (former parent), Fusako & Natsumi Hagiwara, Adelaide Ikejiri, Ayumi Inoue (former Nyumon teacher), Megan, Ryan and Wendy Kagiyama, Katy &Yoshiko Kawada, Irene Nakano, and Sadako & Yukie Shirtcliff helped roll the An filling into balls.
On the day of the event the following individuals made up a great team and we made 2050 pieces in record time. We are also happy to report that even though we made over 400 extra pieces, we finished right around 12:30. Our team was awesome! The PTA Board really appreciates all the efforts put forth by current parents, and former parents of SFVJLI.
