The CC and school will be surrounded by Japanese Pear trees that were donated by the city via a grant.  On September 25th there was a tree planting ceremony celebrating this occasion.  Four SFVJLI students participated in the ceremonies along with Tony Cardenas, a politician.  They are Dean Caudill, Mamoru Inoue, Sadako Shirtcliff and Clay Thibodeaux.
