I hope you had a good time at our school’s New Year’s Party. I was very happy to see that many of the school’s new families attended. I was also happy to see many of our students helping in many ways, such as escorting guests to the tables and passing out desserts, drinks, raffle prizes, etc. Thank you very much for the many volunteers who made this event successful. Congratulations to our lucky $75 tuition credit winners!

At the New Year’s Party I sang two songs (Niji and Sen no Kaze ni Natte), and in one of them the teachers came up and sang with us. I also watched the Nyumon class sing their song. We all ate delicious bentos while watching the Fujima dance school perform three dances (Ehigasa, Hana, and Miyabe no Uta), which were all very beautiful. Each bento came with a raffle ticket and you could buy extra ones, so we had a lot of tickets. Even though we had so many I have bad luck with raffles so we didn't win anything from it. At the end, though, was a raffle with all of the students’ names in it. I won a month's worth of tuition from it. I had finally won something, and I was so happy!
