There will be another Japanese Language Proficiency Test this year. It is an examination for students learning Japanese as a foreign language, which is held once a year simultaneously in Japan, other Asian countries, Europe, and here in the States.
There are four levels of the exam, with the first level being the most difficult. Due to the level of difficulty, we recommend that only middle school-aged students and older take this test. This year, the test will be held on Sunday, December 2nd, at USC. Applications are now being accepted and are due by October 5th. The form needs to be submitted individually and can be turned in either by mail or on-line. Detailed information about the different levels is available through the website http://www.jflalc.org/ under the JPLT heading, or you can stop by our office and ask for our Office Manager, Mr. Kakinoki, for more information.
