THE END OF THE 2006/07 SCHOOL YEAR
|
(By Noriko Murata, Chief Coordinator)
SFVJLI started out with 85 students last September, and it is almost June, the end of the second semester. It must have been a tough routine for both students and parents to get up early every Saturday to come to this school. There were a total of 35 Saturdays from September until the last day of the school year. “Good work everyone!” I’d like to emphasize that the 35 Saturdays have not just been a tough routine, but they have been a wonderful opportunity for students to experience various cultural events and to encounter new and unique people who they can only meet here, as well as learning the language. I’d like to express my gratitude for the PTA board members and volunteer parents who helped to create these opportunities by contributing many hours volunteering for our school. Also, I appreciate all the teachers and the office manager for your hard work. Have a great summer and see you all in September!
