At the last PTA Board meeting we discussed security around the school property because of the recent school related sad incidents around the country. We have implemented the following new school safety rules, which are effective immediately. 

• Drop-off and pick-up for students outside the school property is prohibited.
• Please use the SFVJLI parking lot, either in front of or behind the school building, to park your car. The CC parking lot is not recommended because it’s not visible from the school.
• The gate will be closed between 8:45 and 12:15 in order to keep out anybody passing by the school.
• If you are tardy, please call the office before you arrive. One of the board members will open the gate.
• Please walk small children to their classrooms, especially the Nyumon students. There will be a sign-in and sign-out sheet in the Nyumon classroom.
• All teaching staff, the office manager, PTA Board members, classroom assistants, and regular volunteers will wear Photo ID badges.
• Other volunteers who decide to remain on the school property will need to wear a “visitor” sticker and sign their names on the sign-in and sign-out sheet located in the office.
