Due to work obligations and responsibilities, I will not be able to continue the monthly newsletter. We are looking for someone to help out and continue with the newsletter.

VP of Maintenance position has been filled:
|
|
In the September newsletter is was posted that the VP of Maintenance position was open. We are happy to report that Joey Nakasone has stepped up and taken over that position.

SFVJLI Children’s Singing Group:
|
|
On November 7th five students from SFVJLI were given an opportunity to use their Japanese outside of Japanese school.

Fall Rummage Sale Results:
|
|
Originally the fall rummage sale was supposed to be held on November 6th. Since the weatherman had predicted rain for that day, the PTA board postponed the rummage sale to November 13th even though it turned out to be a picture perfect day.

CC Clean-up:
|
|
The CC organizes a clean up in the Spring and in the Fall. The fall clean up took place on October 30 and 31.

|

The CC and school will be surrounded by Japanese Pear trees that were donated by the city via a grant.

Parent Teacher Conference - Oct. 9:

At the start of each school year, all parents are invited to meet their child's teacher and observe the classrooms in action.
